Search engines are life savers. They have saved and helped me many times, and I bet they have few you as well. I remember when the first commercials came out for search engines like Yahoo! and then Google, and also ask.com which use to be askjeeves.com. I still use Yahoo! because I have always used it, and when I cant find something, then I will use Google. But I do have a Gmail account.
These search engines have much improved and added more applications since there beginning. Now being top of the search engines, Google, they have Google mail, Google maps, Google news, and Google earth. Google is the most used search engine today and will continue to improve. With there catchy and funny TV commercials, people remember it and then use it when searching the web.
I actually took a class while I was an undergrad as an elective, and I learned all about search engines. How they worked, How to use correct searching techniques. For instance, if you want to just find what you are looking for, put it in quotes. Like if i wanted to search for a certain article or website, put it in quotations to just find what you are looking for and only what you are looking for. if you don't use quotes then it will search for every word you use on your search. Search engines are life savers, they can help you find anything. And you know search engines are very popular and have made a huge impact on us when the correct spelling of the search engines are in our Spell checks.
YAHOOOOOOO!!!

VI. Hacking
i. Forms of hacking
ii. What hacking involves?
iii. Who has been hacked recently?
iv. Why do people hack?
VII. Security Provisions and Recommendations:
Companies:
Smart phone vendor and companies like Trust Digital, F-Secure, and Trend Micro are producing software and education on how to protect and fight against hackers and viruses.
VIII. Technology and Applications:
Smart phone users can use different applications and software to ensure that their information can be protected by hackers.
Software
Antivirus applications
F-Secure- Mobile Anti-Virus 3.0
Trend Micro-Trend Micro Mobile Security
Trust digital-FIPS 140-2
Encryption programs
Authentication passwords software
Messages protection software.
Hardware
Memory cards
PC hardware plug-ins
Being Smart:
The best protection of Smart phone security is not just technology, its education and training. Antivirus or no antivirus, users still need to be cautious and aware of the sensitive information being stored in their smart phones.
Being Aware:
Uploading and downloading to a PC, or date memory erasing are three ways users can store, save, and prevent information from being stole, misuse, and lost.
IX. Future of smart phone security:
Preparing for the fight.
According to Frost and Sullivan, an analyst firm, by 2010, there will be 72 million people whose jobs require them to perform work duties outside normal office work environment.
By 2010, 37 million users will use their mobile device to store information and data, both personal and professional.
Companies have to start treating smart phones with the same care they treat PCs and laptops, so taking these measures has become a necessity rather than a choice.
To have smart phone security is important and necessary because cell phones, PDAs and smart phones are all going to be part of our every day lives and routines.
Just like with the Pc, hackers and evil programmers are going to steal or make viruses that can affect your mobile and smart phone devices in the future. The question is, “How will you deal those problems when they are presented?”

Way to much for me
After reading the article "Digital memories" and having a video camera and body sensor strapped on you to record your memories, is way to much for me. Whatever happened to the old Polaroid cameras? or the flash bulb cameras? Why do we need to have a video recorder hat with a sensor to my arm just to record my memories and daily actions. No thanks, ill just stick to the old wind-up, hold the button to charge the flash cameras, and get them developed at the local store. I don't need a camera strapped to my head, and I certainly don't need some device to tell me I'm getting sick when I can just tell I'm getting sick. Next thing you know we will have something to tell you the next time we need to go to the bathroom. Its way over the top for me and I feel if i saw some one with that on there head, I would think about privacy issues because there recording you and not taking pictures, a totally different scenario. I think its way over the top and does not need to be purchased. I would rather keep using my digital camera for my memories, or even my cell phone.
I remember when the first time there were cell phones with cameras on them and I thought to my self, that's stupid, what else will they come out with next. But a little while later, i got a new cell phone with a camera in it. Its great because you can take pictures of friends or something funny, then send it to your friends and share it. I receive pictures from my brothers all the time, and I also take and receive videos as well. Now shopping for a new phone having a camera on it is a must. If there is no camera on it, then I'm not buying it. its great because if you don't have your camera you can use your phone to capture the perfect picture, because 9 out of 10 times you have your cell phone with you.
We are relying too much on technology now a days, its gunna turn around and haunt us. I feel this is over doing the topic of memories. We don't need it. The new cameras can fit in your pocket and can hold enough memories to last a long time. And when you memory is full you can upload them to your computer and share them on the web, as well as a video recorder. I know you have to deal with disk's and tapes, but you can label them and keep them in a safe place. But i feel we should stop counting on technology because someday it may just fail. Were if you have the old photo pictures, you have the memories in frames and right in your hands. That's how I am, I would rather have the pictures in front of me to hold, then to watch, Just like a newspaper, I would rather read in front of me rather then on the web. But hey, you never know.
But to have a camera strapped to your head, is way to much for me. I don't like it and I will never waste my money on it, but never say never.

This article explains how to listen in on local cell phone conversations. Different towers send off different radio waves and what you need to do is buy some equipment and a hacker scrambler and listen in.
I don't like this at all, I just feel it is way to easy for people to hack or listen in on cell phone conversations when ever they want. Especially the FBI or CIA or any other higher power authority who can get there hands on high tech. devices. Its very illegal but its very easy to do.
http://www.totse.com/en/phreak/cellular_phones/cellhack.html
In this article John Markoff talks about cellular phone hacking. he explains in his article, "this hackers push the cellular phones are far as they can go". He also goes about explaining and introducing a few hackers leaving there names anonymous. He also explains how they hack cell phones, explaining that cell phones are jsut mini computers and with a little practice, and if you know what your doing, it is easy to accomplish, just as these people have as well as many others.

Blogging...I dont like it
I'm not a "blogger", I admit it, never had any interest in it and still do not. It is just not me. I remember when someone first asked me if I blogged, or ever written on any blogs, and I asked them what is that and what are you talking about. I have never herd of it at the time and it didn't interest me. But now after having a class where all we do is blog and read other blogs, its very interesting to see what people have to say about different topics and also the same topics. Its like AIM, but you post what you want to say and it stays there, its blogging. If you have something to say about anything, just blog it and someone will read it and comment on it. Blogging is your online journal where everyone can read and comment. What makes a blog so popular is that you can comment back on the writer, you can find someone who feels the same way you do about something, or you can fight with some one about a topic making it the ultimate "high school debate team" dream!!..Now a days, every website has a blog or every TV show has a blog where they can read your posts.I just feel blogging is over rated, but if your into blogging, more power to you because its not my favorite thing to do. I have nothing against people who blog, or people who love to blog and make it almost a religion, its just that I'm not good at it and I don't prefer to do it. So if you love to blog keep blogging!!!!!, but you wont find me doing it.

second life
I have never herd of second life before, only when we started talking about it in class, and I still did not understand what it was about. So I signed up and experienced it for the first time. So as I started the program I upload on the beginning island and right across from me is a naked women, and thinking to my self, what kind of "second life" is this? I walked around a bit and explored the first island. Then I got teleported to the second island, called the application island I think, and got some free stuff and learned some different things I can do with this program. Its very interesting, how you can do many different things like drive cars, fly, build, buy things and the main purpose chat to other people and communicate. The option I liked most was the flying part, its allot better then walking and you also feel like a super hero at the same time, I mean who wants to walk any way. Allot of people tried to talk to me, asking me questions, but I didn't really talk back, I only talked to a few people. When in the main land I tired to drive a car and a motorcycle, but it wouldn't let me because it wasn't mine. I wish it would let me then
you could be chased by cops of something. So overall my experience was a positive one. I think it is a very interesting program and can see why people use it. You can create your own world, and live a whole new life, your second life. O and my name is Kooper Jonson.

The big 5 letter word....TRUST
Trust, is a very serious part of life, especially in a relationship, with your spouse and or your friends, and also the workplace.
Everyone deals with trust each and everyday. Weather its to trust your car to last you to get to work and arrive safely or to trust the person next to you on the highway that he doesn't change lanes without seeing you, and to trust your friends to have your back when your out at night, or whatever it is, everyone deals with trust every single day. But there are many different types and levels of trust I feel. When your in a corporate world you have to trust you teammates just like Verzuh talks about, trusting your group team members. Personal trust and Professional trust.
Allot of people trust me, and that is because I can be trusted, I'm not saying that to be cool or to sound "cocky", but its true, I am just a generally nice, trust able guy. I am always there for the people I trust and for the people who trust me. It takes a while to get my trust tho, but once you have my trust, its all happy trails. But if you ever take advantage of my trust and lose my trust, they you probably wont be one of my friends anymore, depending on the matter. I am always around "trust" and so is everyone else. Being on an athletic team at a division I University, I have to trust my coaches that they are making the right decisions every day to make our team better and to get a championship. I have to trust my teammates during the game that they will follow the plays and trust them to do things correctly. And if I get hurt, I have to trust the Doctor that they have made the right prognosis, and trust my athletic trainers that they will take care of me and get me healthy as soon as possible. I have to trust my roommates that they respect my things and that they don't go through them when I am not there, just like they have to trust me. But to get someones trust you usually have to show them that your a true person, a friend, someone who makes the right decisions. But if your trust with some one is every broken, its just not worth trying anymore, once you step into that unwanted zone, you will never be trusted again, and are lucky if you are still friends. And in the corporate and business world, you have to trust on your employees, that they are doing what they are suppose to do and in the time frame they are given. And once you have someones trust, try not to lose it because trust is a very valuable thing in this world today.
